Happy 2020! What to Expect from Me This Year

See this content in the original post

Hi everybody - I want to wish you a very happy, healthy, whatever you wish for - 2020. I hope it goes really well for you.

I'm really excited about the style of this new year and this new decade. It can mean for a lot of people a sense of pressure in terms of New Year resolutions and people trying to make a  new start for the whole decade thinking on that level so I'm gonna be helping you to kind of keep things simple and realistic as well.

Today I just want to share a few things that you can expect from me over the coming year.

Firstly, I'm gonna be sharing more videos like this - I hope to be able to share a short one every week. Тhat's the first commitment I'm hoping to be able to stick to and you can help to keep me accountable for that.

Secondly, as you may have seen from some of my recent postings, I've become very passionate about an approach called ACT (Acceptance and Commitment therapy or Acceptance and Commitment Training). So that's about being present, learning to step back from your thoughts, learning to accept or be willing to accept and feel our emotions. It's about learning to tune into this perspective self, or transcendence self, or observer self. It has almost got the spiritual dimension to it and it's about learning to become more clear about our values - what we truly want deeply in our heart, what's most meaningful for us. It is focused on learning to commit to taking action. I've written before about cultivating healthful habits but we’ll talk more about how to do that consciously and how to not just cultivate habits, but turn them into actions that are meaningful for us. It is about cultivating a more meaningful life and I really enjoy this approach, so I'll be sharing a lot about ACT this year.

Finally, I'm going to be releasing some new online courses. One that I've actually already released is called Act for Beginners - it's Acceptance and Commitment therapy/training for beginners and it's a five-week online course. I think the first one's almost full already but I'll be doing more of those so if you're interested in learning online in an interactive way and a video based away with others in relatively small groups, then let me know and that's something we can also do as well.

Thank you for being with me today. I really appreciate you following my work and the more we can make it interactive and many comments that you share I really enjoy and appreciate that. You can head over to YouTube and comment on the video, or leave your comment below. Feel free to tag me on your Facebook, Instagram, Twitter shares, so I can join in the discussion there too!
