The Joyful Art of Mindful Listening

Did you know that the letters for the word LISTEN and SILENT are the same?

When someone is speaking to us, if we listen mindfully, it transforms the relationship.

Some of my most transformative experiences with clients have been when I’ve deeply listened to them, and rather than speaking, I was silent.

Out of that silence came powerful insights.

Listening is an art.

You can listen not just with your ears, but with your mind, your heart, your entire being.

And listening doesn’t have to take any effort at all.

When you get out of the way, your awareness picks up the sounds naturally, without you needing to concentrate hard.

Listening effortlessly is deeply rejuvenating.

You can practice listening anytime. Now is a great time to begin.

Listen to the sounds. And listen to the silence between the sounds.

Listen to your body and listen to your breath.

Listen without judgement. And listen with curiosity.

Listen and discover your inner silence from which all sounds are heard.
