Breath Counting Meditation

The meditation session begins with an invitation to cultivate ease by consciously checking in with your body and being present in the moment.

The focus of the session is on cultivating mindfulness through your breath, and you are encouraged to find a comfortable posture that allows you to breathe freely.

I introduce abdominal or belly breathing, a mindfulness technique that involves inhaling and allowing your belly to expand and exhaling and allowing it to contract.

This technique is associated with ease and serves as an excellent aid to gauge your emotional state.

I then introduce the breath counting technique, which is a mindfulness exercise that involves counting your breath on each exhale up to five and then counting back down to one.

This playful technique helps in maintaining mindfulness and focus on your breath, and you are encouraged to count in your own style with a friendly tone.

The session concludes with a reminder to celebrate small wins and to set mindful intentions for your day.
